"American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks (right) has signed to 19 Recordings/Jive Records. Jive Records is a division of the Zomba Label Group, which is a part of BMG U.S. (part of Sony/BMG). Her first single, "Tattoo," will be released to mainstream radio on Aug. 27 and her debut album is scheduled to be released in November.
Sparks, the youngest "American Idol" winner in the show's history, also is just three years removed from winning the Spotlight Overall title at the GMA Academy in D.C. event. She was crowned this year's "American Idol" on May 23 when she won the majority of the 74 million votes cast for her and runner-up Blake Lewis. Sparks is the first "American Idol" winner or runner-up to sign with the Zomba Label Group, according to a company press release.

Other artists who call the label group home include Justin Timberlake, Ciara, Pink, OutKast, Backstreet Boys, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker, Marvin Sapp, Kelly Price and J. Moss.

Sparks, who is currently on tour with this year's other "American Idol" finalists on the "Pop-Tarts American Idols Live! Tour," also is scheduled to appear on the "2007 Teen Choice Awards," which airs live on FOX this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/7p.m. CT.
