Dottie Rambo and Loretta Lynn
Two icons, Gospel Music and Country Music's first ladies
share the stage in Renfro Valley, KY

Renfro Valley, KY-Loretta Lynn gave fans an extra special treat when she surprised fans at the Renfro Valley Entertainment complex with a surprise appearance of her legendary friend, Dottie Rambo. As Rambo entered the stage, the crowd immediately gave her a standing ovation. Loretta shared with the audience that Dottie Rambo was the first gospel singer she met when she came to Nashville and the first friend in Gospel music she made.

Loretta and Dottie serenaded the crowd with "I'll Fly Away" followed by a request from Loretta for Dottie to sing "If That Isn't Love". Fans continued to yell out titles of Rambo's classic songs to which Loretta asked Dottie to sing "I Will Glory In The Cross". After the two swapped stories and jokes Loretta asked Dottie to remain on stage to chime in with Loretta's remaining set of classic songs.

"It was truly a historical moment to see the Queen of Country Music and the Queen of Gospel Music share a stage at the same time. Even more special that they were able to do it in their homestate." says Rambo's manager, Larry Ferguson.

Both Kentucky natives and members of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, the two have shared a friendship lasting over 30 years. The pair plan to write a song together and record a duet.
