GOSPEL MUSIC CHANNEL BRINGS THE KITCHEN SINK STARTING THIS FALL,
Unique New Weekly Series Premieres Nationwide October 6
ATLANTA, Aug. 8, 2007—Must-See TV has moved to the Gospel Music Channel (GMC) where music fans will get a weekly dose of everything Christian/gospel music in the new primetime series The Kitchen Sink. The first weekly series of its kind -- and the first series to be produced in the new GMC Studios in Atlanta -- will be seen Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT beginning Sat. Oct 6, it was announced today.
The Kitchen Sink will be an hour-long music performance, news, entertainment and variety program and will be the only national show of its kind featuring Christian and gospel music. The show will be a combination of live in-studio performances by top artists, lively interviews, world premiere videos, the latest entertainment news and previews, undiscovered new talent, inspiring feature stories and more. The Kitchen Sink will also feature several recurring segments, including:
“GMC Insider” -- Field reports and features on the gospel/Christian music scene across the country.
“Street Date” -- Previews of the newest music and related movie releases.
“Gospel Angels” – Pieces following artists in their community and doing charity work.
“World Premiere Videos” -- Music videos seen for the first time anywhere.
“Hometown Gospel” -- Introduces unsigned artists from around the country.
The Kitchen Sink is beginning production with studio tapings set to begin Sept. 26 and every Wednesday thereafter at GMC’s new state-of-the-art television studio being built in Atlanta.
Gospel Music Channel will announce the hosts of the series shortly.
“The show will be one-stop-shopping for those who want to stay in the loop on the Gospel and Christian music scene; viewers will get everything and the kitchen sink,” commented GMC vice president of production Rex Humbard.
