GOVERNOR MIKE HUCKABEE BRINGS HUMOR, HOMAGE, AND HOPE TO EVENT ATTENDEES

Governor Mike Huckabee spoke to an overflow crowd this weekend at Cornerstone Church in Madison, Tennessee (just outside of Nashville) for their Memorial Day services.  Sharing his trademark humor and a powerful message that resounded with the thousands in attendance, the popular news commentator and former presidential candidate made Cornerstone’s annual event one to be remembered. 

The governor spoke of his life, his faith, and the growing danger of citizen apathy.  He also explained how he personally handles any criticism from those who might oppose his personal convictions, reminding us all of Who it is we ultimately answer to, and the importance of pleasing Him. 

Receiving several standing ovations throughout the night, Governor Huckabee deferred praise and homage to the true heroes of our nation—those who have given so unselfishly in the service of our country.

Each branch of our armed forces was honored through a musical medley of military anthems that even featured two Marines repelling down from the ceiling.  The music for the evening was exceptionally performed by Sarah DeLane and the Cornerstone Choir.  A stirring dramatic presentation, which illustrated a brief history of America’s military conflicts, was also featured.

Following the program, Governor Huckabee stayed to greet attendees and sign copies of his New York Times bestselling book, Do the Right Thing. Governor Huckabee is the host of Fox News Channel’s hit weekend show, Huckabee.  Rev. Maury Davis serves as senior pastor of the 3,000+ member Cornerstone Church.
