jason crabb NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Fueled by the success of his best-selling, self-titled solo debut, Spring Hill recording artist Jason Crabb is defying genre boundaries with multiple mainstream appearances and unprecedented critical acclaim.

Crabb appeared live on a recent radio broadcast of the “Rick & Bubba Show," which is nationally syndicated and also airs on XM Channel 158.

Critical praise for the broad appeal of Crabb’s solo sound continues to amass. Last month Billboard magazine observed, “Few artists can move among genres as easily as Jason Crabb,” while The Tennessean gave a rare and noteworthy nod to the album, calling it “triumphant.”

In addition, acclaimed music journalist Robert K. Oermann, critic for Nashville’s prestigious MusicRow magazine, recently said, “If you have ever heard him sing, you have never forgotten the experience, because this man is one of the greatest male voices of his generation. Searing, soulful and stunning, he can make the hairs on your arms tingle, raise goosebumps all over and compel you to turn it up to ‘10.’”

Crabb appeared on the legendary Grand Ole Opry earlier this month. The evening’s guests also included famed country-pop act Restless Heart and singer/songwriter Trent Tomlinson, who co-penned Crabb’s debut Gospel single, “Walk on Water.” Prior to the show, Crabb was featured on WSM Radio, where he discussed the new album.

Following its June 30 release, Jason Crabb debuted at #1 on Nielsen SoundScan’s Christian/Gospel Christian Retail chart; at #2 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart; and also in the top position on Nielsen SoundScan’s Southern Gospel albums chart, catapulting the project to #62 on The Billboard 200 albums chart. According to Billboard’s August 22 issue, the album is currently #7 on the Top Christian Albums chart and remains on The Billboard 200.

Jason Crabb was produced by Tommy Sims (Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith), Norro Wilson (Kenny Chesney, Reba) and Crabb. The 12-song set also features guest appearances from Vince Gill, Sonya Isaacs and the Gaither Vocal Band. The album is distributed by EMI CMG Distribution.
