We're thrilled to usher in a new year and new decade by headlining our own show throughout 2010! Our Renewed & Reloaded Tour starts tonight in Cincinnati, Ohio, and promises to serve up fresh music, fresh faces and an EHSS-only concert experience unlike any you've seen.
God is leading us down new paths, and we are following. Change can be hard and scary, but with change comes opportunity, and we are embracing it. Thanks to all of you who continue to embrace, trust and lift us up as we go. We are in this together and can't do it without you.
Here's what's exciting and new: As most of you know, Devin McGlamery joined us in late December as our new lead singer. We're truly blessed to have him after the ten years he spent between Grammy-nominated Karen Peck & New River and the popular Dixie Melody Boys. With all his talent and passion for southern gospel music, Devin will help take our concerts and recordings to a new level we're confident you'll appreciate and really enjoy.
We have a new album coming out in March! We were in the studio this week recording music for "Influenced #2: Hymns, Spirituals and Southern Classics," which will be a showcase of our new Signature Sound and songs... and the main material for our performances this year. We also did a photo shoot this week, so soon we'll have new promo pics for the album, Web site and other stuff. Check out the video below!
We'll continue to have a live band with us at most venues, including our awesome new drummer, Zach Schumate. He's from Nashville and started with us in December at our Christmas show there.
We wouldn't be complete without David Griffith, our terrific tour and production manager and bass player who's been with us since the beginning (2003)... and wonderful Wayne Haun, our producer/arranger, band leader and keyboard player who came to us about two years ago. All in all, this should be our best tour and best year yet, and we can't wait to share an all-new evening of just EHSS with you.
From Cincinnati, we head to Washington, IL, and then it's off to the West Coast for the rest of January. On January 31 in Los Angeles, we'll find out if our "Dream On" project wins a GRAMMY for "Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album!" Say extra prayers. :)
EHSS will spend most of February in Europe in cool places like the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Our EHSS-only European Tour wraps up with three dates in the U.K., the finale for which is in London. If you haven't already, now's a great time to register to win our trip for two to London to see us on Feb. 21. Deadline to enter is Jan. 19, and Ernie will call the winner on Jan. 21!
The first part of March will find us heading south to Florida's sunshine. After that, we'll be all over North America for more than 100 shows total this year. We're constantly adding dates and will announce them as we do, but please feel free in between to check our tour schedule often.
